JLPT vocabulary, N5 and N4

Every one of the 2,129 words of JLPT N5 and N4, with its reading, its meaning in English and its word class. Where the pitch accent is known it is drawn over the kana, and every verb and adjective has its full conjugation table.

How to read these pages

The pitch line sits over the kana: a mora under the line is high, and where the line steps down the pitch falls. A dashed line after a word means the pitch stays high on the particle that follows (heiban).

Each level is in kana order. Words with enough to say have a page of their own: the reading, every meaning, the conjugation table, the site’s example sentences and other words with the same kanji. The 6,911 words of N3 to N1 are on the study home’s vocabulary chapter for now.
