「の」: from “my book” to 「〜んです」

母ははの作つくったお弁当べんとうは、いつもおいしいんです。

「の」 links nouns, stands in for them, replaces 「が」 in clauses, and asks or explains: 「赤あかいの」, 「母ははの作つくった」, 「どうしたの」, 「〜んです」.
