JLPT N1 grammar
〜内に入らない: meaning and usage
Meaning
Not really A; Can’t really be considered A
How to form it
- verb (dictionary form)/verb (ta-form)うちに入らない
- verb (te-form)いるうちに入らない
- い-adjectiveうちに入らない
- nounのうちに入らない
How it is used
Spoken: 'doesn't even count as A', because the amount or degree is too small to deserve the name. Often with 「くらい」 or 「なんて」. Unlike 「と言っても」, it dismisses A outright.
