How it is used

After a person: 'if you ask A', introducing that person's own, often critical opinion; 「私に言わせれば」 stresses the speaker's view. More subjective than 「〜から見れば」.

Examples

1. 祖父に言わせると、今の若者は苦労を知らないらしい。

   According to my grandfather, young people today don't know what hardship is.

2. 私に言わせれば、あの計画は最初から無理があった。

   If you ask me, that plan was unrealistic from the start.
