  • nounも構わず
  • verb (plain form)/い-adjectiveのも構わず

How it is used

Doing something without caring about A — other people, the weather, the place — which most people would mind, as in 「人目も構わず」; often critical or surprised. 「〜を問わず」 is neutral: A simply makes no difference.

Examples

  1. 傘を忘れたのに、彼は雨にも構わず外に出ました。

    Even though he forgot his umbrella, he ignored the rain and went outside.

  2. 彼は周りの人が見ているのも構わず、大きな声で電話していた。

    He was talking loudly on the phone, not caring that people around him were watching.

  3. 子どもたちは服が汚れるのも構わず、泥の中で遊んでいる。

    The children are playing in the mud, not caring that their clothes are getting dirty.
