How to form it

How it is used

Putting feelings, wishes or effort into an action or a thing, usually with words like 「心」, 「感謝の気持ち」 or 「願い」: 「心を込めて作る」. To describe the thing itself, 「心のこもった〜」 is also common.

Examples

  1. 感謝の気持ちを込めて恩師に手紙を出しました。

    Filled with gratitude, I sent a letter to my former teacher.

  2. 母の誕生日に、心を込めてケーキを焼いた。

    For my mother's birthday, I baked a cake with all my heart.

  3. 卒業する先輩に、感謝を込めた花束を渡した。

    We gave the graduating seniors a bouquet to say thank you.
